- Who are loose parts intended for? Everyone! Loose parts considers a variety of textures, colors, scents, and developmentally appropriate materials within the classroom.
- Where and When do we use loose parts? Everywhere! You can use loose parts throughout different areas of the classroom to spark creativity and open imagination.
- What can I use for loose parts? Get outside — simple items like pine cones, acorns sticks are a great place to start. You can also ask families to donate bottle caps, buttons, or drawer knobs. Finally, you can get out in the community — ask for floor samples or paint chips from your local hardware store.
- Why use loose parts? Loose parts pave the way for innovative thinking.
