In this session, we were joined by Ron Shuali, M.Ed., Educator, Speaker, and Trainer at Ronspeak. Ron gave us many new tools for our toolboxes! He gave us 4 different breathing techniques, 3 techniques for behavior mastery, 2 self-defense techniques, and a sun salutation to bring your body back to its center. All of this is tied together to give us a better idea of how to teach the yogarate technique!

Ron Shuali, M.E.d

  • Breathing helps bring you back to your center and there are many different types you can use for yourself and children, from big belly breath, fire breath, cold breath to a jellyfish breath.
  • Tie breathing in with the 3 key tools of behavior mastery. Place pattern interrupts, re-frame, or use the power look to help bring a child back to the project at hand.
  • Using the yogarate technique involves a couple of key steps that can help bring a child back to their center.
